Good Days reaches more donors through retail partner Walgreens

Every day, Chronic Disease Fund helps patients who desperately need medication. To help fund their life-saving mission, CDF sought a partner for their first grass roots initiative in the North Texas Market.

The goal: to raise money and awareness for CDF’s cause.  The partner: Walgreens North Texas Retail

Once CDF had secured their partner, they called on Numantra to develop the promotion.  Through the strategic partnership of CDF and Walgreens, we raised awareness with eye-catching point-of-sale signs and coupon books that were given to customers who made a donation.  We also ran banner ads on geo-targeted sites to raise awareness of the promotion.  Shelf talkers were produced for the stores.  And employees wore the ribbons we created that prompted customers to ask about the promotion.

The results: the grassroots effort grew beyond all our expectations.  Golf outings, parking lot barbecues, employee and store contests, and sales of the coupon book resulted in over $80,000 being raised for chronic disease patients.

NEW Goal: Bring the Walgreens + CDF partnership to all of Texas in 2011, and the nation in 2012
